With so many moving parts keeping the Marldon cogs turning, from customer service and warehouse logistics to finance and purchasing, none of it would work without our operations team quietly coordinating it all behind the scenes.
At the heart of it all are Gavin and Beth, who bring dedication, experience and a serious amount of multitasking to the table every single day. From managing logistics and suppliers to handling customer interactions and internal communications, they’re the glue that holds it all together.
Let’s get to know them a little better…
Beth, Operations Co-Ordinator
What does your role at Marldon involve?
I assist the team with transport and purchasing requirements, which involves everything from booking couriers to checking invoices, liaising with suppliers and making sure internal departments are aligned.
What’s the most rewarding part of working in this industry?
Seeing prestigious or interesting projects at their completed stage that you know you had a hand in!
What’s a typical day like at Marldon for you?
It’s a mix of keeping things on track and solving problems. In the morning, we start with a team catch-up. Then I’ll go through transport invoices and sort out any courier issues or delays. I also book couriers, track returns for credit processing, and make sure everything is logged and accurate.
For purchasing, I match invoices against orders, enter them for payment, and update pricing when needed. I also liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery dates, and cover the phones when things get busy!
