A year ago, we marked a major milestone when Marldon stepped out from under the Havwoods Accessories umbrella to become our core brand. It wasn’t the beginning of our story. Marldon has been trusted by flooring professionals across the UK for over 16 years, but it was the start of an exciting new chapter.
With a renewed focus, a clearer identity, and the same expertise, we set out to better serve our customers and grow in the ways that matter most.
Twelve months on, we’ve done just that! Launching new products, expanding our range, growing our team, and continuing to support our customers and partners with reliable solutions for every stage of the flooring process.

The change to Marldon brought with it the launch of FloorBase, our partner brands division and your go-to for the leading brands in flooring products.
Our Newest and Most Premium Adhesive
Our existing wood floor adhesives have long been trusted by flooring professionals for their reliability and performance across thousands of wood floor installations.
The MXA200 is known for its flexibility and strength in surface bonding applications, while the MXA300 delivers tension-reducing flexibility ideal for engineered wood floors. However, as the flooring market evolves, we recognised a growing demand for a more premium adhesive that could handle more demanding installs without compromise.
That’s why we developed the MXA100 Hybrid Wood Floor Adhesive.
It’s our most premium hybrid adhesive designed to combine superior bonding strength with ease of use, allowing it to be applied without priming on most substrates. This means fewer steps, faster application, and more confidence that the job will stand the test of time, no matter what type of wood flooring you’re installing.
The MXA100 fills a gap in our adhesive range, providing flooring professionals with a high-performance, flexible solution that adapts to modern installation challenges, whether you’re working with oversized solid planks, parquet, or mosaic floors.

A New Chapter in Leadership
In early 2025, Karl Whiley was appointed as the new Managing Director of Marldon, a proud moment for the business and a natural progression for someone who has been part of our journey for over two decades.
Karl’s career with the company spans more than 20 years, during which he’s held a wide range of roles, from operational to managerial, consistently making valuable contributions at every step. His deep understanding of the business, hands-on experience, and commitment to our customers and the whole team made him the clear choice to lead Marldon into its next chapter.

Our New and Improved MXS110 Smoothing Compound
When it comes to installing bonded timber floors, the condition of the subfloor is everything.
That’s why we developed the MXS110 Smoothing Compound, designed specifically to prepare, perfect and smooth out subfloors ready for wood flooring installations.
We saw a clear need within our system for a reliable, easy-to-use solution that could handle a wide range of subfloor types while being suitable for modern requirements like underfloor heating and moisture tolerance. MXS110 answers this by offering a fibre-reinforced, protein-free formula that works on everything from sand and cement screeds to plywood, epoxy membranes, and even ceramic tiles.
With MXS110 in the line-up, we’ve filled a key gap and made it easier than ever for our customers to stick with a system they trust.

A Look Back Over the Last 12 Months
It’s been a busy and rewarding year at Marldon, not just in terms of product launches and growth, but in the moments that brought our team and wider community together.

First Charity Coffee Morning as Marldon:
We fired up the kettle and baked some delicious treats to raise funds for Myeloma UK, raising £355 in total, an incredible effort! These coffee mornings gave us a chance to support vital research while enjoying a brew together.
Team Building, the Marldon Way:
One of our favourite team-building exercises this last year? Creating our own adhesive! It was hands-on, collaborative, and a brilliant way to connect the team with the technical side of what we do.
Giveaways & Goodies:
Throughout the year, we ran a number of giveaways to show our appreciation, with prizes ranging from pizza ovens and headphones to flasks and discounts on our products. A little something to say thanks to all our amazing customers
