Installation Products FAQs

To install a wooden floor onto an anhydrite screed, it’s very important to prep the subfloor correctly to prevent failure. We would recommend using Marldon Rapid MVS MXS150 as a single coat primer before applying a new layer of screed.

We would always recommend using MXA200 for bonding solid wood flooring but it can also be used for engineered wood floors. We would only recommend using MXA300 for engineered wood floors.

When deciding on an adhesive for parquet blocks, it will depend on whether the blocks are new or reclaimed. For new blocks, Marldon MXA100 or Marldon MXA200 adhesives can be used. If the blocks are reclaimed and still have residue on them, we would recommend Marldon MXA500, a more rigid-set adhesive.

Marldon MXA100 is our most premium adhesive and is best suited to bonding oversized and wide boards to the subfloor, as well as other extremely demanding installations due to its strong initial bond and high strength.

Our MXA200 & MXA300 adhesives are also available as 600ml sausages which can be used if you only have a small area to bond down and don’t require a full tub. Each sausage covers approx. 1 - 1.2m2.
