We’re continuing our Meet the Team series with the latest addition to Marldon – Adam, our new Finance Manager! Adam brings with him a wealth of experience in finance and accountancy, and he’s already making a huge impact.

Can you tell us more about your career so far?
“I began my career in finance when I was just 22 and started my accountancy career at 24. Since then, I’ve worked my way from a Financial Administrator to Assistant Accountant and then into a Management Accountant, and now a Finance Manager for Marldon.”
What does your role at Marldon involve?
“In short, I oversee the finances, produce monthly management accounts and reports for the directors and owners, and analyse figures to support decision-making and business growth.”
What are you looking forward to most about your role at Marldon?
“Taking on more responsibility and playing a key role in the company’s growth. I’m excited to make a real impact!”
Do you have any hobbies or interests you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I try to hit the gym regularly, enjoy good food and drinks, and love getting outdoors for hikes and walks – I’d definitely consider myself an outdoorsy person!”
What is one thing you would like to learn or improve upon in your role?
“I’d love to get more involved with high-level decision-making. I’m also studying for my CIMA qualification, so I’m always looking for ways to develop my professional knowledge.”
What attracted you most to working at Marldon?
“The people! Everyone seemed really friendly, and I loved the overall culture of the organisation. I felt like I could fit into the team straight away.”
Can you tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
“I taught myself to play the guitar, and I’ve been playing for 12 years now!”
We’re all so pleased to have Adam on board with us and we can’t wait to see him bring his expertise and enthusiasm to the team.
