Regular cleaning is important to keep a wood floor looking its best. We recommend using either our MXC770 Multicleaner or MXC710 Cleancare Concentrate to regularly clean your wooden floor. Always check the dilution instructions on the product data sheet and simply apply using the Marldon Spray Mop.
Day-to-day cleaning of a UV oiled floor is simple. Using our Marldon MXC710 Cleancare Concentrate and a Marldon Spray Mop, clean over the floor as and when needed. For more periodic maintenance, the Marldon Liquid Wax Care can be applied and worked into the floors surface - this will help to revive the appearance of the floor and protect it. Refer to the product technical data sheet for application instructions of the Marldon Liquid Wax Care.
If you are cleaning your floor using a Marldon cleaner (MXC710 Cleancare Concentrate, MXC770 Multicleaner, MXC735 Cleaner), no rinsing is required. Simply dilute if required, apply using the Marldon Spray Mop and allow to dry.
The product used for reviving a wooden floor will differ depending on the floor finish. If the floor is oiled, we would recommend using the Marldon Liquid Wax Care. If the floor is lacquered, we would recommend the Marldon MXC745 Refresher. Always check application instructions on the product technical data sheet before use.
Depending on the type of wooden floor, colour and finish (oiled or lacquered), you may be able to effectively repair any scratches. The finish of the floor and how badly scratched the floor is, will determine the best method to use - if the floor is oiled, a small patch repair may be possible with a maintenance oil or similar, if the floor is lacquered it can be more difficult and may need to be fully sanded back and refinished. A wax repair kit can help to repair individual deep scratches/gouges.
