Q&A with Cath
What does your role at Marldon involve?
“I’ve been a part of the finance team for far too many years than I wish to remember – but my main role is office manager, credit control and debt collection, and I’m also affectionately known as the Office Mum“.
What’s the most rewarding part of working in this industry?
“Well, we’re just one big family! We have so many repeat customers who we’ve worked with for many years, and without them, we just wouldn’t be Marldon”.
What’s a typical day like at Marldon for you?
“Extremely busy, but I love it and being a part of the Marldon team and seeing everything come together is very rewarding”.
If you could describe Marldon in 3 words, what would they be?
“Caring, Kind & Enthusiastic”.
What’s an interesting fact about yourself?
“Before I joined the finance team and became the office manager, I worked as a cleaner for the company 20 odd years ago!”
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
“I’ve always loved travelling and going on holidays – hence the nickname ‘Judith Chalmers’ in the office”.
How long have you worked at Marldon?
“I’m not sure of the exact number of years, but it’s over 20, including my time as a cleaner before joining the finance team”.
What’s your favourite Marldon product & why?
“Marldon MXA200 Wood Floor Adhesive – because I LOVE seeing those pallets flying out the door!”
Cath keeps everything (and everyone) in check, making sure the office runs like clockwork and that our customers get the best possible service. Her dedication, experience, and sense of humour make her a true Marldon legend.
